Struthers- Grace was born in Youngstown on Sept. 29,1929 (when asked her birth date she would quickly reply "9-29-29" a daughter of Lydia (Cubick) and Ed Burch.

They moved to Struthers and Grace attended Struthers Schools thru graduation in 1947.

While in High School she was a member of the Archery Club and NHS, also participating in all the art shows.

Grace was an active member at her church (Poland Ave. U.P. Church know as the Struthers Parkside Church.), where she assisted in the nursery and helped repaint the basement Sunday School rooms when the new addition was being built.

Grace began working at General Fireproofing Co. following graduation as a Billing Clerk.

When her mother-in-law passed in May 1949 she quit her job as she and Bill returned to his father's home to care for him, since he was blind. They lived in Youngstown for awhile with their first two children then purchased a small farm in Poland in order that their children could have ponies or horses and Grace became an active 4-H leader. The whole family were always at the Canfield Fair. The family transferred to the Poland Presbyterian Church where they became involved.

Grace enjoyed traveling and camping. She visited all 50 states staying in tents, campers, and motor-homes as well as lodges and motels. Grace also enjoyed cruising, attending many isles in the Gulf of Mexico as well as trips to Hawaii and Alaska.

Because Grace did not have a formal job meant that Grace was available for many volunteer jobs and she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, a School Room Mother for her children, chaperoned various school trips and Poland High School band trips.

She moved to TX, MI, WV, FL often returning to OH for a short time or a few years.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob and Dave, as well as her youngest daughter, Lisa, a Paralegal in NM.

She leaves her son, Brian (Marilyn) in TX; her daughter, Beth (Ken) Miller in Youngstown; two granddaughters; two grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.

As per Grace's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

The date of the graveside memorial at Lowellville Cemetery in Poland Twp. will be announced in the Spring.

The family wishes to thank the many services provided by Hospice of the Valley and suggests memorial contributions in Grace's name be given to them 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
