Boardman - Glenn Richard Houts, 75, died February 1, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. Houts was born March 4, 1938 in Greenford, Ohio a son of Glenn and Mary Schaefer Houts.
He was a 1956 Boardman High School graduate. Richard was a machinist at Wean United as well as Lordstown Fisher Body Plant where he retired in 2000. In his retirement he had spent the winter in Sebring. Florida. He loved cars. He was a member of the Sebring Elks Lodge #1529.
He is survived by a son, Randy Houts of Chicago; one sister, Janet Brizzi of Ephrata, WA; and an aunt, Bernice Schaefer of Columbus, a niece and family and nephew of Ephrata, cousins in Columbus and Pittsburgh. Also his companion Carol Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received 10:00 a.m.to Noon on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at Forest Lawn Chapel, 5400 Market St., Boardman..
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
