Gladys Mae Olson

Gladys Mae Olson, 99 Poland- Gladys Mae Olson, 99 formerly of College St. died Wednesday evening at Aurora Manor Special Care Center in Aurora, OH. Mrs. Olson was born on January 24, 1906 in Poland Center, a daughter of Charles E. and Ida Bell Brennard Harmon. She was a life-long resident of Poland. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown and VASA Lodge in Youngstown. She attended Poland Schools. Her husband, Herman W. Olson, whom she married on July 28, 1931, died on August 11, 1996. She leaves two daughters, Carolyn (Jim) Mulroy of Hudson, OH, and Sonja (Louis) Dye of Solon, OH; one sister, Dessie Stoner of Poland, OH; four grandchildren, Kurt (Sue) Helfrich of Mentor, OH, Kevin Mulroy of Lakewood, OH, Kent (Betsy) Helfrich of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Sean Mulroy of Stow, OH; and four great-grandchildren, Timothy, Kendra, Evan, and Tess Helfrich. Besides her parents, one brother, Duncan Harmon preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 3:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland. Friends may call Saturday, 2:00- 3:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church 10857 Main Street, New Middletown, OH, 44442.
