Gladys Laverne Kimmel, 80 Struthers- Gladys Laverne Kimmel, 80, formerly of Struthers and then Sunrise of Poland died early Saturday morning. Mrs. Kimmel was born November 1, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Martha Shilling Davis. She was a life-long area resident of Struthers. A 1942 graduate of Struthers High School, Mrs. Kimmel worked at General Electric and then Wittenauerâa�a��s Pharmacy which later became Hackleyâa�a��s Pharmacy in Struthers. She retired from Hackleyâa�a��s in 1988. For several years she and her husband Charles co-owned Kimmelâa�a��s Dairy on Wetmore in Struthers. Mrs. Kimmel was a former member of the Struthers United Methodist Church. Her husband Charles A. Kimmel whom she married July 14, 1946 died June 26, 1988. She leaves two daughters, Peggyann (Harold) Booher of Hartville and Diane (Brian) Hill of Boardman; four grandchildren, Jennifer Reverendo, Amanda Kocsis, April Hill and Bridget Hill and one great-grandson, Dylan Reverendo. Besides her parents and husband, four sisters, Getty Clues, Florence Barnett, Edna Gender and Lucille Davis and three brothers, Earl, Wayne, and James Davis preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers where friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent at
