Gladys L. Aaron, 90
Poland: Gladys L. Aaron, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Gladys was born October 24, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late James and Ellen (Anderson) Payne.
She was a devoted homemaker and a lifelong area resident.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 73 years, Arthur M. Aaron, whom she married on March 27,1946; two daughters, Melody L. Walp of Youngstown, and Terri E. Aaron of Poland; two sons, Arthur M. (Patricia) Aaron of Greenwood Village, CO. and Matthew A. Aaron of Arlington, TX; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Mary Sass of Campbell.
Besides her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence J. Aaron, and Richard J. Aaron; a brother William Payne and two sisters, Thelma Fisher and Florence Trickett.
The family offers gratitude to the at-home hospice staff of MVI for the care they provided Gladys throughout the summer.
Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 Main Street in Poland. Interment will follow in the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
Gladys was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend to all. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially being a grandmother to all her grandchildren She will be deeply missed.
