Lowellville-Gertrude I. Edwards, 86, died on Friday, March 13, 2015. She was born in Belle Vernon, PA to the late Joseph and Gertrude Majer.
Gertrude was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary #247. She enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Lloyd Edwards, whom she married in 1951; five children, Rebecca Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Karen (Rex) Olson, Vincent (Susanne) Edwards and Christopher Edwards; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. John Jerek as Celebrant. There will be no calling hours.
The Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville is handling arrangements.
The family asks that any memorial donations be made to Fr. Francis Fugini, O.F.M.Cap, Seraphic Mass Association, Capuchin Mission Office, 3600 Butler St. Pittsburgh, PA. 15201.
