Gerald S. Esarco, 79 Lowellville- Gerald S. Esarco, 79, of 305 Park Ave., died early Thursday morning at his residence and was pronounced at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Esarco was born June 17, 1926 in Edinburg, Pennsylvania a son of Giacomo and Susie DePrano Esarco. He was a life-long area resident of Lowellville. A graduate of Lowellville High School, Mr. Esarco worked at Sharon Steel Corporation for 22 years and then for American Life and Accident for 25 years retiring in 1991 as Regional Manager. Mr. Esarco was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving in World War II from 1944 until 1946 in the I-39 of the 9th Division. He was a former councilman for the Village of Lowellville, a member of the former Lowellville VFW and Sonâa�a��s of Italy, a performer for the Lowellville Minstrel and an avid Lowellville Sports Fan. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout Europe and America, but his favorite part of the trip was coming home. Mr. Esarco always enjoyed a good family debate. His family was his life, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Besides his wife the former Maxine Hartman whom he married February 7, 1948 he leaves three daughters, Sherry (Robert) Giovanni, Geri (Daniel) Yates, and Pam (John) Hrusovsky all of Lowellville; two sisters, Susie Barone and Sandy Filisky of Lowellville; three brothers, Alex, Jack and Anthony Esarco all of Lowellville; seven grandchildren, Michelle and Rob Giovanni, Dawn Borkes, Danielle and D.J. Yates, Gerrod and Andi Hrusovsky and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
