George Schrock, 81 Poland- George Schrock, 81, of 2560 Coblentz Dr. died Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Mr. Schrock was born May 2, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of Lawrence and Katherine Gunsales Schrock. He received his education from Hubbard Schools and The Rayen School of Engineering of Youngstown College. He was an engineer retiring in 1988. Mr. Schrock was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II where he participated in seven invasions in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and Deacon. He was a member and past president of the Poland Kiwanis, a charter member of both the Poland Masonic Lodge F&AM #766 and Poland Swim club and a member of the Carnival Dance Club. Besides his wife the former Barbara Clayton whom he married June 16, 1945, he leaves two sons, Thomas (Bonnie) Clayton Schrock of Lodi, California and David George Schrock of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one sister, Lois Barnett of Largo, Florida and three grandchildren, Eric, Clayton and Keith Schrock. Besides his parents, one brother, Donald Schrock preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. at the Poland Presbyterian Church where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
