STRUTHERS âa�" George J. Mottram Sr., 89, of 605 Lincoln Ave., died Saturday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Mottram was born June 24, 1917 in Hartford, Conn., a son of George W. and Catherine Burger Mottram, and came to Struthers in 1969. Mr. Mottram was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, retiring in 1959, serving after the occupation of Japan. He traveled with his family and lived in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Japan, Maryland and New York. He also worked at Northside Hospital and Woodside Receiving Hospital as an orderly. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. Mr. Mottram is survived by his wife, the former Carmen Gloria Gomez, whom he married Jan. 14, 1942; four sons, Richard (Tina) Mottram of California; George (Minnie) Mottram Jr. of Campbell, Daniel (Becky) Mottram of Lowellville and David (Donna) Mottram of Struthers; seven grandchildren, David Mottram, Amy (Dan) Bondi, April (Pat) Hynes, Gary Mottram, Kristen Mottram, Stacey (Keith) Stitzel and Stephan Mottram; and eight great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his loving family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where prayer services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
