Poland - Geneva M Dorman, 94, of Poland, died Sunday afternoon at her residence. Geneva was born March 5, 1917 in Brighton, MO, a daughter of Noah and Stella Howard Presley. She was a life-long resident of Springfield, MO., until moving to Poland to live with her son Arlie, three years ago.
Geneva attended Bible Training School and was an ordained minister. For over 35 years, she and her husband Arlie were pastors of the Gravois Ave. Church of God in St. Louis, MO. For the past three years Geneva was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church of God in Struthers.
Her husband, Pastor Arlie Dorman, whom she married June 1941 died January 24, 2001. She leaves her son, Pastor Arlie (Annette) Dorman with whom she made her home; one brother, Bernice Presley of Springfield, MO; one sister, Nadine Engler also of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren, Gordon (June) Dorman, Julie (Floyd) Hamilton, Jeanette Williams, and Jaime (Eddie) Guidos; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers with Dr. Jack Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at the Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
