POLAND - Gayle Elizabeth Slick Black, 64, died early Sunday morning at her daughter Elizabeth's residence.
Gayle was born Dec. 30, 1946, in Youngstown, a daughter of William A. Slick and Louisa Elizabeth (Garwood) Slick Wardle.
She graduated from Struthers High School in 1964 and was an entrepreneur of several businesses.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Paul Black of Poland, whom she married Sept. 20, 1975; a daughter, Elizabeth (Elias "Louie") Maillis of Poland; and their children, Robert Maillis of Texas, Nicholas, Michael, and George Maillis, all of Poland; a son, Michael (Patricia) Black of Struthers; and their son, Jared Black of Struthers.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
