New Middletown - Gary David Wagner, 65, died September 28, 2015 in St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Gary was born March 3, 1950 in Youngstown, son of the late Samuel and June Barger Wagner.
He was a 1968 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and retired from General Extrusions in 2013, following 43 years of employment as a press operator. He was a member of Living Well Church in Wellsville. Gary enjoyed reading his bible and spreading the Word of God through ministry with his wife, Alyce. He was called a Little Jesus Evangelist. He loved singing and speaking at different men's groups and churches.
Gary leaves his loving wife, Alyce Herman Wagner, whom he married September 24, 1999; stepchildren, Kevin, Karen and Kimberley; grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, Malorie, Brandon, Jessica and Macey; great grandchildren, Hayden, Kenzie and Luke; two brothers, Thomas Wagner of Austintown and Jeffrey Wagner of Boardman; his sister, Diane Loree of Boardman; his nephew, Jerry Ludt; two nieces, Aimee Loree and Christine Frigone-Loree and five great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Barbara Wagner.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30pm at the chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-1:30pm at the cemetery chapel.
