Garry L. Conrad, Sr.

Youngstown- Garry L. Conrad, Sr., 65, of Youngstown, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Karen Sue Conrad, whom he married on February 24, 2005. 

 Born November 15, 1958 in Youngstown, he was a son of the late George and Margarite (Vandergrift) Conrad.

 Garry served his country proudly in the United States Army. A true patriot, he was always proud to show off his support for our American Flag. Garry was a member of the Local Union 377. He enjoyed fishing at Mosquito Lake in Lake Milton, tinkering on vehicles in his garage, and camping with his family at Green Acres. Known for being a “Mr. Fix It,” Garry always knew how to overcome a tough task that would give anyone trouble. Above all, he cherished his moments of being a loving husband, father and papa.

 In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his children, Garry L. (Cindy) Conrad, Jr., of Campbell, Diane (Harry) Bush, of Niles, Cindy (Charles) Morgan, of Youngstown, John (Shauna) Seabolt, of Campbell, Lucy (Craig) Griffin, of Brookfield, and his red-headed step child, Shannon (Michael) Harley, of Youngstown; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Sally) and Chester (Louise) Conrad, Wiliam Vandergrift; sister, Christine Conrad; sister-in-law, Lisa Conrad; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Cecil Conrad; and his granddaughter, Shiane Swiger.

 Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers where a funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with military honors.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
