Garland R. Cronin

Garland R. Cronin, 89 Salisbury, NC- Garland R. Cronin, formerly of Poland died Monday evening at her sonâa�a��s residence. She was born June 12, 1916 in Pleasant City, a daughter of Carl E. and Mary Ellen Mathias Hoy, and came to the Youngstown area in 1952 . Mrs. Cronin was a 1933 East Liverpool High School graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered at the Southside Hospital Guild. Her husband Donald K. Cronin, whom she married August 7, 1934 died November 12, 2001. She leaves a daughter, Mary Ellen Cronin of Boardman; a son, Donald C, Cronin of Salisbury, NC; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jane Marie Hamill. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, where there will be funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday.
