Gaitona "Anne" Fabry

Poland - Gaitona Anne Fabry, 101, passed away on November 12, 2024 at the Inn at Poland Way.

She was born August 19, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Caroline Perno. She graduated from South High School and worked in California as an executive assistant for various aircraft organizations and retired after 30 years from Amatek.

In 1948, she married the love of her life, Andrew M. Fabry, and they moved to California where they resided for 69 years before moving back to the area in 2017. Together they also were generous owners and landlords for a 14 unit apartment complex.

She had a love for travel and a knack for knitting and crafting, always finding joy in creating something special. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and relished trips to the casino.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her nephews, Lawrence (Elsie) Marra of Poland and George (Laurie) Boticke of Colorado; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew; her brother, Sam Perno; and sisters, Celestine Marra, Rose Boticke, and Josephine Riegle; and her nephew, Pasquale Marra.

Private services were held and she was laid to rest with her husband at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
