Frederick David Purnell, 36, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at his home.
He was born March 13, 1981 in Youngstown, OH, a son of Frederick Purnell and Deborah L Fraticelli .
Fred worked as a Grinder for L.B. Foster. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed cooking, music and art. He will be remembered for his "heart of gold" and his immense love for his family and the Lord! Fred's huge heart will continue to touch the lives of others by fulfilling his wish to be an organ donor.
Surviving are three daughters who were the love of his life, Alexis, Kaitlyn, and Abagail; his mother, Deborah L Fraticelli (Michael) of Struthers; his father, Frederick Purnell of Salem; a sister, Michelle (Christopher) Ferguson of Struthers; a brother, Vincent Broll of Youngstown; a great-grandmother, Lorraine Riskey; grandparents, Frederick Purnell of Diamond, Ohio, Lyn (Margaret) Hatch of Liberty, David (Shirley) Metzger of Youngstown, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves several nieces and nephews who adored him.
Frederick was preceded in death by his great-grandfather Elmer Riskey; his paternal grandmother, Sally (Mammaw) Purnell; his maternal grandmother, Joan Johngrass, and an uncle, David Metzger.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the kind people of L.B. Foster.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
