Private services will be held Friday, 1:00pm at Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman for Frederick B. Hansel formerly of Boardman. He passed away Tuesday morning at Victoria House.
Mr. Hansel was born Oct.7, 1917 in Erie, Pennsylvania, a son of Michael and Mary Briebecker Hansel He had worked at Valley Drug Company, James G. Pardee and Jenkins Sign Company. He retired as a custodian from Boardman Schools after 25 years..
He is a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, St. Albans Lodge, F.& A.M. He also was a golfer and enjoyed making picture frames.
His wife the former Jeanette Marks whom he married Oct. 16, 1952 died Oct. 16, 2008.
Surviving him are two brothers, Michael Hansel of Canada and Richard T. Hansel of Austintown, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his wife and parents are two stepbrothers Gerhard Krauss and Alfred Krauss.
Friends may call Friday from 11:30am-12:30pm at the funeral home.
