Frederick Collingwood

Youngstown - Fred Collingwood, 73, died December 29, 2016 at Cleveland Clinic. Fred was born October 31, 1943 in Youngstown, a son of Merle and Lillian Moran Collingwood.
He was a 1962 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. Fred worked for the Sheet Metal Workers Local #33 for many years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Fred was also member and President of the Local #33 Sheet Metal Retirees.
He enjoyed golf, was a car enthusiast, and loved tailgating at YSU Football games.
He is survived by his life long companion, Karen Colonna of Poland, one sister, Carol Collingwood of Austintown; one brother, William "Bill" (Donna) Collingwood of Clovis, CA; two nephews, Shawn and Brian Collingwood both of Austintown; and one great-nephew, Mason Collingwood of Austintown.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 5-7 PM at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman and Thursday from 9:00-9:45AM at the church.
