Poland

Poland - Frank Weaver, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, February 21, 2025, at his home.

Born on June 17, 1947 in Youngstown, OH, Frank was the son of the late Howard and Mary (Turnbull) Weaver. A lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, he graduated from Boardman High School in 1967.

Frank dedicated over 55 years of service to Clarence Smith and his family businesses, working at Compco Industries until his retirement in August of 2013.

Frank was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Youngstown and a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman, Ohio. He also belonged to Argus Lodge F&AM #545, the Youngstown Shrine Club, and the Aut Mori Grotto. Frank had a deep love for the outdoors - taking great pride in his yardwork, fishing, and traveling, especially to Florida during the winter. Family vacations were particularly cherished, and he delighted in supporting his children and grandchildren by attending their school events and sporting activities. In his free time, Frank enjoyed watching TV shows, socializing with friends, spending life's greatest moments with his wife, and always enjoyed a visit to Dairy Queen, especially when he could share those outings with his mother-in-law, Marian.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn Jean (Miller) Weaver, whom he married on June 26, 1971. He leaves behind three children, Jennifer J. (Justin) White of Waverly, WV, Reverend Jonathan F. (Julie) Weaver of Brunswick, OH, and Jaclyn L. (Aaron) DelMonte of Boardman, OH; six grandchildren, Jackson White, Judson White, James Weaver, Jacob Weaver, Jillian Weaver, and Arlo DelMonte; and his brother, Fred (Kim) Weaver of New Middletown, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Howard Weaver Jr., and three sisters, MaryAnn Murray, Claira Ziegler, and Martha Weaver.

In accordance with Frank’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that material tributes take the form of donations to The Youngstown Shrine Club, 1735 W. South Range Road, North Lima, OH 44452 or to Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road, Youngstown, OH 44511 in memory of Frank.

Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street, Boardman, OH.
