Frank Mounsey, 81, formerly of Youngstown died Tuesday morning at Greenbriar Nursing Home after a 4 month illness. He was born in Campbell March 5, 1923, a son of John and Nellie McFarland Mounsey. Frank was a brakeman and conductor at Youngstown Northern Railroad and also worked as a craneman at United Engineering for 23 years, before retiring in 1986. He attended the Northside Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy. His wife the former Sonia Mackall whom he married May 17, 1947, died May 25, 2002. He leaves one daughter, Marilyn (Brian) Williams of Boardman; two sons, Donald (Lenore) Mounsey of Amherst,OH and John (Debbie) Mounsey of Girard; one brother David Mounsey; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Moore, one daughter Janice Perry; and one grandchild, Shannon Williams. Friends may call Thursday from 10-11AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers followed funeral services at 11AM. Memorial tributes may be given to the Northside Baptist Church.
