BOARDMAN - Frank Horvatich, 86 of Boardman, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Caprice Health Center in North Lima. He was born March 27, 1922 in Campbell, OH, son of Frank and Ludmila Frouch Horvatich, and was a life long area resident. Mr. Horvatich was a WWII Army veteran, where he recieved the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the American Campaign Medal. Flollowing the war he returned home and worked as a self employed concrete and construction worker, retiring in 1978. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, the former Dorothy Mattie, whom he married February 11, 1941, two daughters, Roberta (Ron) Shuler of Columbiana and Patricia (Edward) Buttle of Ft. Lauderdale; one son, Frank (Charlene) Horvatich Jr. of Boardman, one sister Ethel Hvisdak of Lowellville, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Violet Smith, and two brothers, Mike Horvatich and Nick Horvatich .
