Frank W. Hoffman

Frank W. Hoffman,78 Poland- Frank W. Hoffman, 78, of 9845 Unity Rd. died Wednesday evening at his residence. Mr. Hoffman was born in Lowellville a son of Frank and Helen Bortz Hoffman. He was an electrical wireman at Sharon Steel for 50 years, retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, during WWII , where he was Seaman 1st Class and a Seabee. He was a former member of the Struthers United Methodist Church. He coached little league and pony league baseball, and was an excellent craftsman, He leaves his wife, the former Leanora Newell, whom he married February 14,1949 ; two sons, Frank (Victoria) Hoffman III of North Lima and Daryl (Valerie) Hoffman of Petersburg; and 5 grandchildren, Gregory (Mariam), Samantha, Melinda (Allen) Holtzman, Frankie, and Justin. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche McKechne and Mary Ferguson; and a brother, George Hoffman. Funeral services will be Monday 11AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
