Poland- Francis B. Kostelnik, 92, died December 21, 2014 at Omni Manor Health Care Center.
Mr. Kostelnik was born April 7, 1922 in Trotter, PA, one son of John and Elizabeth Ralman Kostelnik.
He graduated from Connellsville High School and worked as an electrician for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 26 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Holy Family Church, where he was in the Seniors Group. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Francis was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII.
He enjoyed crafts and woodworking.
His wife, the former Anna K. Katona, whom he married Aug. 9, 1947, died Oct.25, 2014.
He is survived by three daughters, Devera (Lester) Styers of Canfield, Rene (Thomas) O'Donnell of Berlin Center, and Charlotte Adduci of Boardman; one son, Dennis Kostelnik of Poland; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Francis was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Andrew, and Steve Kostelnik; three sisters, Anne Rittenbuger, Dorothy Gerheart, and Mary Check.`
A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at Holy Family Church, with Msgr. William J. Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received today from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
