Francis "Frank" V. Gasior

A mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday for Francis "Frank" V. Gasior, 75, who passed away Monday afternoon.
Mr. Gasior was born Dec. 29, 1938 in Youngstown, a son of Walter and Magdalene Helon Gasior. He graduated from South High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. He was a certified scuba diving instructor, who trained the skill of diving to the cadets at West Point. He had worked at Erie Lackawana Railroad and retired from United Engineering where he served as president of IAM Union Local 200.
Mr. Gasior was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #4471, The Fraternal Order of Eagles and The Mahoning Valley Corvette Club.
Frank leaves his beloved wife of 50 years, Phyllis "Flip" Navarro, whom he married Sept. 7, 1963 at St. Christine's Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughter Gina Marie of Youngstown, his son Frank Gregory of West Palm Beach, FL, a sister Dolores Alexis of Georgia, a sister in law Joan (Lou) Zarlenga of Canfield and a sister in law, Janet Gasior of Campbell.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Walter "Sonny "Gasior and Charles P. Gasior.
Friends may call Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church.
