Struthers - Frances Thomas, 70, died August 20, 2015 in Maplecrest Nursing Home. She was born August 27, 1944 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of the late Frank and Helen Petrunak Dobozy.
She was of the Catholic faith. She worked several clerical and nurses aide jobs and volunteered with numerous military organizations. Frances proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Meyersdale, PA. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed sewing, crafting, crossword puzzles, volunteering and spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves her two daughters, Beth Siwula of Struthers and Melanie (James) Dubaj of Alliance; son, Douglas A Blaine of Alliance; five grandchildren, Allison and Emily Zimmerman, Mathew Blaine, Julia and Natalie Dubaj and her brother, Doug (JoEllen) Dobozy of Roaming Shores, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thomas and her brother, Frank Dobozy.
Private services will be held for the immediate family.
