Struthers - Frances Marie Fiorenza, 65, of Struthers, died Tuesday afternoon at Select Specialty Hospital of Youngstown surrounded by her family due to complications a stroke.
Frances, affectionately known as Francie, was born September 21, 1946 in Youngstown, a daughter of George Francis and Mary Frances Boughner Fecko.
A 1964 graduate of South High School, Francie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Manor West Nursing Home Retirement Center and Sunrise Assisted Living.
Francie loved to write poetry, solving crossword puzzels, playing Pogo, and creating crafts with her grandchildren. Most of all, Francie devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.
Francie is survived by three daughters, Michelle Fiorenza of Youngstown, Mary Helen Fiorenza of Struthers, and Suzanne (Ryan Bloomer) Fiorenza of Mineral Ridge; three sons, Michael (Lori) Fiorenza, Joseph Fiorenza, and Andrew Fiorenza all of Struthers; one sister, Helen (Rick) Smith of Poland; four brothers, Joseph (Susan) Fecko of Poland, Edward (Kelly) Fecko of North Port, FL, Ted Fecko of Fullerton, CA, and Andy Fecko of Joplin, MO; fifteen grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Joseph, Christina, Tyler, Brandon, Tabitha, Hayley, Alex, Emily, Julia, Kayla, Kyle, Alexis, and Makenzie.
Besides her parents, Francie was preceded in death by her brother, George Thomas Fecko.
A Memorial Services will be held Friday, 7:00 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers with Fr. George Gage officiating.
Friends will be received Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
