Youngstown - Frances Joseph Boone, 93, of Youngstown, died Sunday evening, April 23, 2017 at Park Vista.
Frances was born January 18, 1924 in Toula, Lebanon, a daughter of Kaleem and Genevieve Saker Aouad. In 1947, Frances along with her husband, Joseph P. Joseph, made the voyage across the ocean to the United States and made Youngstown their home.
A devoted mother of five children, Frances worked especially hard as a seamstress to provide a safe and loving home for her children. She welcomed everyone into their home and hosted many loving meals for her family and friends. When her children were grown, Frances moved to San Diego where she developed a circle of friends and discovered her passion for dancing and enjoying life to the fullest. She returned to the Youngstown area in 2000.
Her second husband, Dan Boone, whom she married in 1997, died in 2001; Frances is survived by three daughters, Carol (Bruno) Hoffmann of Yucca Valley, CA, Therese Joseph of Youngstown, and Linda (David) Kiraly of Canfield; one son, Bill Joseph of Youngstown; one daughter-in-law, Roberta Joseph of Boardman; one sister, Theresa Abraham of Austintown; three grandsons, Eric Joseph of Kent, OH, Blake Hoffmann of Dublin, CA, and Bret (Ceraya) Kiraly of Seattle, WA; two granddaughters, Christine Hoffmann of Yucca Valley and Sarah (Brian )Taylor, Asheville, NC; and one great-granddaughter, Quinn Taylor.
In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by her loving son, Peter C. Joseph; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home 8536 Market Street, Boardman with Deacon Paul Lisko officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman. A luncheon will be held for family and friends immediately following the funeral service at the Davis Becker Family Center.
Friends and family will be received Thursday from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
