Struthers - Florence P. Tirabassi, 78, of Struthers, died December 29, 2013 at Hospice House.
Mrs. Tirabassi was born July 22,1935 in Youngstown, a daughter of Phillip and Lillian Maschishka Peachock.
She was a dedicated homemaker, who loved catering to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church. Florence loved playing bingo and going to Mountaineer. She was a well known baker in Struthers.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Tirabassi, whom she married, July 28, 1951; her children,
Diane (Dominic Jr.) Lippillo of Struthers, Sam Tirabassi of Columbiana, Patricia Hoelzel of Girard, Anthony (Shawn) Tirabassi of Erie, PA, Angie (Michael) Ondo of Girard, Paula McLaughlin of Struthers, and Lillian Popa of Salem; a brother, Phillip (Dorothy) Peachock of Kent; a sister, Mary Ann Chacon of Campbell; 17 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; three brother-in-laws, Anthony (Bonnie) Tirabassi of California, Mario (Marge) Tirabassi of Hubbard, and George Sicilano of Struthers; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Florence was preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Peachock and Ann Sicilano; a three brothers, Thadeous, Michael, and Frank Peachock; and one grandson, Samuel Paul Tirabassi III.
A prayer service will be held Friday at 10:30AM at Davidson-Becker Funeral home, Struthers, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers at 11:00 AM . Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
