Florence Mary Aeppli, 98 Liberty Township âa�" Florence Mary Aeppli, 98, died at Liberty Health Care Center after an extended illness. She was born August 20, 1904 in Anderson, Indiana, a daughter of the late William Alfred and Ann Jones Johnson. She has been an area resident since the early 1920âa�a��s, a 1922 graduate of New Castle High School and she attended Slippery Rock University. Mrs. Aeppli worked as a teacher in the New Castle area before leaving to raise her family. She was a member of the Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church where she was part of the Fidelis Class, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Struthers American Legion Auxiliary, the Mahoning County Extension Group, Pythian Sisters Lodge and she was an accomplished pianist. She leaves a daughter, Barbara and husband Lawrence Fast of Largo, Florida, two sons: Charles and wife Joan of Hubbard and Richard and wife Beverly of Phoenix, Arizona, one sister Marion Garrett of Bridgeton, New Jersey, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles S. Aeppli whom she married in 1924 and who died October 11, 1969, two daughters; Betty Beal and Ruth Eleanor, four sisters; Kathryn Johnson, Ruth Wylam, Vivian Gardner and Dorothy Grove and two brothers; Francis and Joseph Johnson. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Davidson Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where friends may call Sunday from 5:00 âa�" 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 âa�" 9:45 prior to the service.
