FERN A. ANDERSON -- 90 NEW MIDDLETOWN âa�" Fern A. Anderson, 90 of New Middletown, died Saturday morning at her residence. Mrs. Anderson was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 27, 1916 a daughter of Earl S. & Edith H. Waggoner Banks. She lived in Pasadena, California for twenty years, before moving back to Ohio in 1991. Mrs. Anderson was a 1934 Graduate of South High School, and attended Youngstown College. A member of the Poland United Methodist Church, where she was involved with the Stephen Ministry, and the TLC Ministries. Prior to loosing her eyesight she was an avid bridge player, reader, worked on cross word puzzles, and learning the computer. After loosing her eyesight she enjoyed listening to books-on-tape. Her husband, Samuel G. Anderson whom she married October 10, 1936, died May 3, 1995. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Conrad of Poland, one sister, Velva Kusnic, of Seattle WA, seven grandchildren, Dan Anderson, Gabrielle Faulkner, Mark Anderson, Rick âa�A"Fredâa�A� Chittock, Fred Anderson, Rick Anderson, and Carol Hostetter, with whom she made her home, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Earl S. Anderson, and Lloyd D. Anderson. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Fernâa�a��s life Wednesday, January 17, at 7:00 pm. At the Poland United Methodist Church, where friends may call a half hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be given in Mrs. Andersonâa�a��s name to the Poland United Methodist Church, (Address), MVI Hospice (Address), or the Mahoning Valley Rescue Mission (Address) Funeral Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
