Fauntella Ruth Martin

Bolivar - Fauntella Ruth Martin, 83, of Bolivar, OH, formerly of Smithfield St. in Struthers, died Monday, July 2, 2007 in Hennis Care Center. Mrs. Martin was born June 14, 1924 in Stockport, OH, a daughter of Nicholas and Clara Hall Barnhouse. She was raised in Canfield and came to Struthers in 1948. After graduating from Canfield High School in 1942, Mrs. Martin went to work, along with her father, as an inspector of the #18 Mill at the U.S. Steel Company in McDonald for three years during World War II. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of Struthers Church of Christ. Her husband, John D. Martin, whom she married November 16, 1946, died September 29, 2002. She leaves her daughter, Paula (Larry) Gill of Bolivar; one granddaughter, Lauryn Givens; two step-grandsons, Adam and Joe Gill; and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mildred Deiger, Margaret Clemons, and Lucille Gee; and one brother, Howard Barnhouse. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home Struthers. Interment will follow in East Main Cemetery, Canfield.
