Faith A. Andrews Check

Faith A. Andrews Check, 87 Struthers- Faith A. Andrews Check, 87 died Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Mrs. Check was born in Youngstown July 8, 1916, a daughter of Peter A. and Blanche Unger Andrews. She was a life long area resident. She graduated from South High School in 1935. She retired from LTV in 1983, after 20 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. 3538 and the Ladies Auxiliary Eagles Aerie No. 113. She leaves one son, Dan A. Check of Meridian, MS; two daughters, Joan E. (Steve) Balas of Boardman and Barbara A. (Nick) Gentile of Struthers; one sister, Grace M. Taylor of Conneaut, OH; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean E. Bissett; six sisters, Margaret Davies, Bertha Pusser, Fanny Alcropt, Sally J. Paul, Blanche P. Blystone, and Mary Susany; and three brothers, Austin, Henry and Peter Andrews. A private memorial service will be held Tuesday morning at the Davidson- Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Memorial tributes may be given to the Salvation Army.
