STRUTHERS- Everett A. McCreary, 86, died Oct. 29, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. McCreary was born May 28, 1930, in Youngstown, son of Everett and Margaret Wadele McCreary.
He was a 1948 Woodrow Wilson High School graduate. Everett was an Insurance Agent and co-owner for Walsh & Roberts for more than 50 years.
Some of his other memberships were the Faith Community Covenant Church, Odd Fellows Canfield Lodge 166, and Park View Rebekah Lodge No. 719. Everett served as Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ohio and was the first male Noble Grand of the Wisteria Rebekah Lodge. He was also a member of the Trumbull Encampment No. 147 and the Canton Royal of Warren.
His wife, Evelyn, whom he married July 26, 1958, died May 8, 2015.
He is survived by one daughter, Jodi A Jorgensen of Struthers; one son, James (Nancy) McCreary of Boardman; and three grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle) Gould, Kaitlyn McCreary, and Brandi Jorgensen.
Everett was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Services will be held at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St. in Struthers, on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Brian Ethridge officiating.
The Odd Fellows Lodge will have a brief service at 6 p.m.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at
the funeral home.
A private burial will take place Wednesday at Lake Park Cemetery.
