Evelyn V. Wright

Evelyn V. Wright, 95, of Boardman died Friday morning May 4, 2018 at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman.She was born April 9, 1923 in Wellsburg, VA, a daughter of Austin M. and Viva (Wagner) Grimm

Evelyn worked as a Head Cashier for A&P Tea Co. and had served in the Coast Guard during W.W. II. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Boardman, and a member of O.E.S. Trias.

Her husband, Robert J. Wright died June 1, 1985.

She is survived by her son, Robert J. (Sallie) Wright of Boardman, OH; three grandchildren, Scott Wright of Boardman, Kurt R. (Tracey)Wright of Youngstown, Kent J. (Candice) Wright of Boardman, OH. a sister, Patricia Booth of Boardman; a brother, Larry (Alice) Grimm of Youngstown, OH, and four great-grandchildren, Brent, Madison, Milo, and, Emily Wright.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Wright; her son, William Kenneth Wright; three brothers, Jay, Lyle, and Howard Grimm, as well as two sisters, Betty Mounts, and Elaine Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday May 8 at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
