Evelyn Mae Heil, 88 Boardman-Evelyn Mae Heil, 88, of Poland Ave in Struthers, died Monday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Emergency. She was born March 29, 1916 in Shadyside, Ohio, a daughter of Roy and Clara Wright Byles. She moved to Pittsburgh in 1946, before residing in Struthers in 1987. She was a homemaker and for 13 years owned and operated with her husband, two Open Pantry Convenience stores in Pittsburgh. She was a 1934 graduate of Shadyside High School and a member of the Struthers Church of Christ. Her husband, Norman Heil, whom she married March 2, 1935, died May 13, 1995. She leaves two daughters, Norma (William) Covan of Struthers with whom she made her home; and Janice (Albert) Kaufman of Bradenton, FL; five grandsons, Michael (Connie) Kaufman of Brandon, FL, Kurt (Laura) Kaufman of Boardman, Brent (Cherie) Covan of Boardman, Bruce Covan of Round Rock, TX, and Brandon (Kim) Covan of Austintown; one granddaughter, Heather (Doug) Tolley of Boardman; 12 great- grandchildren, Jason Kaufman and Michael Kaufman Jr., Lindsay Okert, Camden, Connor, Cailyn, and Cassidy Covan, Caden Covan, Justin, Allison, Zachary, and Jordan Covan; and one great-great grandchild, Jeremiah Okert. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey Kaufman; and one sister, Wanda Wallace. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 AM. âa�" 12:00 Noon at the Struthers Church of Christ, followed by a Memorial service at 12:00 Noon.
