Eugene Hetner

Eugene Hetner, 75 Struthers- Eugene Hetner, 75, of 572 Lincoln Ave. died Tuesday afternoon at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Hetner was born March 10, 1927 in Youngstown, a son of Samuel and Sophia Badaski Hetner and was a life-long area resident. He was a graduate of South High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a welder for General Motors for 20 years retiring in 1992. He previously worked for McKay Machinery and Truscon. His wife the former Georgene Reed whom he married November 30, 1956 died November 19, 1992; He leaves two sisters, Lucille Hetner of Poland, Elmetta Truswell of Austintown and several nieces and nephews. Seven sisters, Mary Palowitz, Josephine Palowitz, Wanda Vagnozzi, Tina Payer, Jean Marinelli, Eleanor Karcher and Henrietta Tell and two brothers, Frank and Henry Hetner preceded him in death. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. The family request memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Ursuline Mother House, 4250 Shields Rd., Canfield, Ohio 44406. Arrangements are by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
