Ethel Elizabeth Anderson

Ethel Elizabeth Anderson, 104 Liberty- Ethel Elizabeth Anderson, 104, of Liberty Health Care, formerly of Maplewood in Struthers, died Wednesday evening at the nursing home. Ethel was born March 26, 1901 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Lawrence and Lena Williams Anderson. She lived in Struthers for over 90 years before moving to Sunrise Assisted Living and Liberty Health Care. At the age of 17 Ethel started working at the Struthers United Postal Office and was Assistant Postmaster for many years retiring in 1958 after 41 years of service. A member since 1918, Ethel was the oldest and longest member of the Struthers Presbyterian Church. For many years she was very active with the Jr. Church for Children. She leaves 5 nieces 2 nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews. Her parents, one brother Clyde L. Anderson and one sister, Zala R. Davis preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 1:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:30PM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
