Struthers - Esther M. Hollingbery, 90, died Tuesday evening, June 10, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Hollingbery was born July 9, 1923 in Struthers, a daughter of Karl and Laura Wire Kurtz.
She was a 1941 graduate of Struthers High School. Mrs. Hollingbery previously worked for Sears in their sign shop, as a clerk for W.T. Grant and G.C. Murphy, and as a bookkeeper for Pennell Furniture.
Mrs. Hollingbery was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Campbell. She enjoyed studying the Bible, doing crossword puzzles, and knitting afghans for her family. Esther loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and traveling with them every year to the Outer Banks, N.C.
Her husband, Harry Hollingbery, whom she married August 21, 1943, died February 10, 2010. She is survived by three daughters, Karen (Douglas) Kraynak of West Middlesex, Marlene (Charles) Sheville of East Liverpool, and Jael (Daniel) Howard of Youngstown; three granddaughters, Jordan (Eric) Moore, Kendall (Andrew) Anderson, and Hillary (Ben) Van Heule; and five grandsons, Justin (Melissa) Sheville, Kory Kraynak, Lance Kraynak, Caleb (Megan) Sheville, and Kyle Kraynak; a great-grandson, August Anderson; and half brother, David A. Booty.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Booty; two sisters, Naomi Balog and Jean Kurtz; two brothers, Paul and Donald Kurtz.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14th at 4pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 319 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell.
Friends will be received from 3-4 pm, prior to the service at the Kingdom Hall.
