Poland - Ernest N. Patrick, 85 of Poland, OH, died Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Andover Village Retirement Center. Mr. Patrick was born Friday, September 9, 1923 in Struthers, a son of Nathaniel & Bessie Emery Patrick. He was a WWII Army veteran where he served in the 592nd Boat and Shore Engineering Regiment. received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, with 4 Bronze Stars, the Bronze Arrowhead, the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Ribbon and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star. He retired in 1988 from the Local 207, where he was a structural Iron worker. After retirement, he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening Surviving are his wife, Dorothy M. Patrick and one daughter Sharon Mosconi of Boardman, OH, three sons William Patrick of Atwater, and Robert (Angela) Patrick of Campbell, Ronald Patrick of Youngstown, and one brother, Floyd Patrick, eight grandchildren, Chris Patrick, Deanne McGurty, William Patrick, Erin Smith, Angela Mosconi, Kari Patrick, Robert Patrick, Lisa Mosconi, 10 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Dorothy Miller, who he married Jan. 18, 1946 she died March 3, 1995, and several siblings, Cecil Patrick, Esther Berletchik, Irene Meredith, Fred Patrick, Earl Patrick, and Alberta Whittaker.
