Youngstown - Eric C. Brewer, 40, of Youngstown, died January 8, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Eric was born June 11, 1971 in Staton Island, NY, a son of Donald Brewer and Dorothy (Grachinin) Sandy, and came to this area as a young child.
He was a 1989 graduate of Girard High School and graduated from the construction program at the New Castle School of Trades. Eric previously worked as a rougher for McDonald Steel for 9 years.
In his spare time, Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
He leaves his wife, the former Shannon A. Greenwood, whom he married December 4, 1998; his father, Donald Brewer of Florida; daughter, Sharrie Novotny of Niles; two sons, Eric and Zachary, both at home; brother, Donald (Patricia) Brewer, IV of New Middletown; and his paternal grandmother, Violet Brewer of Austintown.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
