Struthers - Emma Seidler, 82, of Struthers, died Thursday afternoon at the Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland. Mrs. Seidler was born August 24, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of Pasquale and Celeste DeVincenzo. A 1943 graduate of South High School, Mrs. Seidler attended and recieved her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and the head nurse in Maternity of St. Elizabeth Hospital, retiring in 1987 after 38 years of service. Mrs. Seidler was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Mrs. Seidler had a very caring heart and was alway concerned for others. Her greatest joy was her family and she cherished her grandchildren. Her husband Alexander "Bushel" Seidler whom she married August 25, 1951 died May 20 of this year. She is survived by two daughters, Celeste (Harry Parris) Seidler of Blanchard, Idaho and Mary Therese (Greg) Paumier of West Sunbury, PA; two sons, Jan (Karen) Seidler of Youngstown, and Alexander Seidler of Struthers; one sister, Rose LaVolpa of Boardman; two brothers, Pasquale DeVincent of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Charles DeVincent of Canfield; seven grandchildren, Michael Seidler I, Justin Seidler, Kristin Seidler, Tawny Parris,Tori Parris, Ken Huber and Matthew Huber; and one great-grandson, Michael Seidler II. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Seidler was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tesia Parris; two sisters, Mary Korchnak and Felicia DeVincent; and four brothers, Vincent, Michael, Mario and Eusanio DeVincent. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 A.M. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 10:30 A.M. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Celuch, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery, Lowellville. Friends will be received Sunday from 3-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
