Elva Morris

Elva Morris, 73 Poland âa�" Elva Morris of 8082 Burgess Lake Drive passed away at her home on Thursday. Elva was born on Sept. 17, 1932, the fourth oldest of six children born to Frank Jensen and Carolyn Schwerin Fiebiger of Pittsburgh, PA. She was a 1950 graduate of Belleview High School, a suburb of Pittsburgh. After high school, she worked a number of years as a legal secretary for the Pittsburgh law firm of Reed, Smith, Shaw & McClay. She met her husband, Bill, in 1958 and they were married on July 8, 1960, in Heinz Chapel on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Elva is survived by her husband, Bill; one son, Hank Morris and his wife Robbin of Broadview Heights, Ohio; two daughters, Linda Miles and her husband Marc of Birmingham, Alabama and Susan Crenshaw and her husband Newt of Kobe, Japan (also of Zionsville, Indiana); she also leaves eleven grandchildren, 6 girls and 5 boys. Elva was a long time volunteer for the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home and for Hospice of the Valley. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed the many vegetables and flowers she raised at her Poland home. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Most of all, she loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by her husband, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cunningham Becker Funeral Home, Poland where friends may call Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent at www.beckerobits.com .
