Elsie R. Rooney

Elsie R. Rooney, 84, died April 27, 2018 at Shepherd of the Valley.

Elsie was born October 1, 1933 in Youngstown, a daughter of Martin and Katherine Gergel Wendt.

She was a homemaker and loved being a mother, grandma, and great-grandma. One of her favorite past times was bowling.

Her husband, Everett, whom she married in 1950, died July 11, 2007.

She is survived by three daughters, Katherine Siudyla of Grand Rapids, MI, Patricia Myers of Phoenix, AZ, and Michelle Lynn Nail of Youngstown; one son, Everett Rooney, Jr. of Zanesville, OH; four grandchildren, Joshua Siudyla, Faith (Kevin) LaBudde, Adam James Nail, and Leeann Nail; and two great-grandchildren, Myah M. Nail and Mason M. Nail.

Besides her parents and husband, Elsie was preceded in death by one brother, Martin Wendt.

Services will be held at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Tuesday at 7:00 PM with Pastor James Berkebile officiating. Burial will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
