LAFAYETTE, IN - Elsie Evelyn Elton, 94 of Lafayette, IN died Monday, March 7, 2011 at her residence
Mrs. Elton was born May 7, 1916 in Youngstown, a daughter of Wilhelm and Anna Johnson Zetterquist.
She was a 1934 graduate of South High School. and had worked for Clear Sylk where she was the Store Manager for 10 years and JC Penney where she was a department manager for 20 years.
Her husband, Rodway E. Elton whom she married December 12, 1938 died June 9, 1993
Mrs. Elton is survived by two daughters Carroll (Ivan) Bell of Shelby Twp., MI, and Virginia Remick (Lafayette, IN); three grandchildren, Laura (Vince) Skowronek, Lisa (Michael) Abdella and Douglas (Cindy) Bell; eight great-grandchildren, Sarah Abdella, Taylor Remick, Michael Abdella,Andrew Remick, Samantha Skowronek, Connor Skowronek, Lindsay Skowronek, Daniel Shaughnessy.
Besides her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Steven and Craig Remick.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 19, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.
