Elsie Irene Austin

Elsie Irene Austin, 83 Boardman- Elsie Irene Austin, of Oregon Trail, died Saturday afternoon at Hospice House. Mrs. Austin was born March 24, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Miles and Daisy Getz Mansfield, and was raised in Youngstown prior to moving to Boardman 45 years ago. Besides her husband, Howard Austin, whom she married September 7, 1940, she leaves one daughter, Carole Jean Kosa of Youngstown; two sons, Howard Eugene Austin of Youngstown and David Wayne (Diane) Austin of Canfield; and one grandson, William Charles (Julia) Schwartz of West Middlesex, PA. Besides her parents, Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Gingrich, Catherine Houser, Eleanor Morehouse, and Betty Jane Mansfield; and two brothers, Melvin Hill and Harold Anderson. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
