Elizabeth M. “Betty” Peplow, 87

Youngstown: Elizabeth M. ”Betty” Peplow, 87 of Youngstown, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning January 1, 2019 at Hospice House with her loving family at her side.

Betty was born February 13, 1931 and was the youngest of 10 children born to John and Mary Pollock.

Betty was survived by her son George (Nancy) Peplow of Dublin, her daughter Kimberly (Robert) Johnson of Boardman and five grandchildren; Summer Peplow, Ashley (Nick) Colla, Hunter (Kimberley) Peplow, Graham (Lara) Johnson and Thayne Johnson.  She also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren; Peyton, Ellie, Nicholas, Isabella and Maddox who will miss her deeply.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years and soulmate, George “Alf” Peplow, who died September 27, 2006. Also preceding her were brothers John, Chester, Michael, Nicholas, Steve, Joseph Pollock and sisters Helen Banjo, Irene Ferrick and Ann Poprik.

Betty took great pride in being a homemaker, loving grandmother and enjoyed playing Bingo. She never knew a stranger.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.  Per Betty’s request there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512 in memory of Betty Peplow.
