Elizabeth (Serich) Sawnsiger
May 6, 1928 — February 27, 2017
NEW SPRINGFIELD – Elizabeth (Serich) Swansiger entered into eternal rest Feb. 27, 2017.
She was born May 6, 1928, and told many great stories of her childhood in Struthers.
She was a 1946 graduate of Struthers High School and a 50+ year resident of New Springfield, where she loved to walk and ride her bicycle.
She was employed for several decades in the local transportation industry, she even worked part-time into her late 70s.
Liz was predeceased by her parents, Rose (Bompage) and Bogdan Serich; brother John Serich; and sister Ann “Toots” McGarry.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Paul (Alorah), Mark (Sandra) and Laurie Herceg (Michael); grandchildren Sam, Kara, Greg Herceg (Emily) and James Herceg; brother William Serich (Jean); sister Catherine “Bebe” Rodik; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Friday, March 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market S. in Boardman.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service.
