Elizabeth N. "Bette" Peters, 92
CANFIELD - Elizabeth N. "Bette" Peters, 92, passed away on May 15, at Morning Star Retirement Community in Denver.
She was born May 28, 1920, in Pittsburgh, to Dora and Andrew Neillie. She grew up in Youngstown and lived in Canfield for over 60 years.
Bette was a dedicated wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge at the Youngstown Country Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Claudia P. Wright (Rick) of Farmington Conn., Karen P. Adams (Rick) of Denver: four grandchildren, Adam Peters Wright, Lara Adams Gates, Katherine Adams O'Connor, and Jill Adams Doyle; and three great-grandchildren, Parker Gates, Erik Gates, and Elizabeth O'Connor.
Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. (Bud) Peters, whom she married May 28, 1941, and died April 12, 2005; a sister, Dorothy Williams; and two brothers, William Neillie and John Neillie.
The family will gather for a celebration of life and memorial service in Youngstown at a date to be determined.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis-Becker Funeral Home.
