Elizabeth McCaughtry

Struthers - Elizabeth  Margaret  McCaughtry, 102 of Struthers, Ohio, died July 11, 2019 at Masternick Memorial Nursing Home in New Middletown. Elizabeth was born April 19, 1917 in Oil City, PA, daughter of Edward and Myrtle Beeson Erb.

Elizabeth was a 1936 graduate of Hubbard High School and had worked as a Housekeeper for St. Elizabeth Hospital for several years. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, baking and crocheting. She was a lifetime fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Her husband, Dale McCaughtery, whom she married in 1938 died in 1969.

She leaves a daughter, Carol Christoff of Struthers; three Sons, Robert (Peggy) McCaughtry of Acworth, GA, Donald (Jackie) McCaughtry of Struthers, and Dale McCaughtry; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bill McCaughtry.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday July 15, 2019 at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, with Pastor Doug Theobold officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
