Elizabeth M. Magnuson

Elizabeth M. Magnuson, 93 Poland- Elizabeth M. Magnuson, 93 of 7329 North Lima Road, died Thursday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Elizabeth, known to most as Betty was born in Monaca, Pennsylvania, August 23, 1913 to William and Elizabeth Siegel and at the age of 10 Betty came to Poland. A graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Betty attended Youngstown Business College and got her first job at Astatic Microphone Company. In 1962 she became the secretary for North Elementary School and later Dobbins Elementary School. She retired in 1974. Betty was a life-member of the Poland United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir. Her husband Frank âa�A"Billâa�A� Magnuson whom she married May 23, 1936, died October 28, 1998. She leaves her daughter Linda and husband Bill Davis of East Palestine; and her son, Gary and wife Pam Magnuson of Culver City, California; two grandchildren, Robin and husband Mark Downey, and Kelly and husband Travis Rambo; and four great grandchildren, Chloe and Emily Downey, and Sidney and Shelby Rambo. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Henry Siegel. Funeral services will be Wedensday at 11:00 AM.at the Poland United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 10:45AM at the church.
